-Masks are required outdoors at any time attendees are unable to maintain a 6' distance, and at all times indoors. We are happy to provide masks on request, or attendees may provide their own if preferred. Face shields may be worn in addition to face masks, but not in place of a face mask.
-Upon arrival at the farm, attendees will follow signs to the office and report to the check in station. At the check in station, attendees will be directed to step on the disinfectant mat, wash their hands, and check in with the greeter on duty for temperature screening and completion of the electronic health screening. For attendees with limited mobility who need to park at the barn or arena, please contact us in advance of your arrival to make arrangements.
-Please stay home if you have exhibited or have been in contact with someone who has presented with illness within the previous 24 hours to 2 weeks, including but not limited to: cough, sneezing, fever, chest congestion or additional signs of potential spread of any cold, virus or bacteria/disease. If you arrive on-site and are exhibiting signs of cold/virus/illness, you will be asked to leave immediately.
-Coffee and water stations will be available; we encourage attendees to bring their own water bottles to refill so that we can reduce waste.
-Various outdoor spaces will be available for meals and breaktimes. While we normally welcome attendees to explore the facility, to reduce the need for sanitization procedures, we ask that attendees explore only open, unfenced areas, and not visit the barn or arena outside of scheduled workshop activities. Please also maintain a 6' distance from our feeding staff, as we are trying very hard to ensure that they stay healthy to care for our horses. Please also be aware that our fences are electrified. Some parts of the house will be closed off to reduce sanitizing requirements, so please observe all signage.
-NCTRC requires that ASTM/SEI certified helmets be worn for all mounted equine activities. During the pandemic, NCTRC is unable to supply helmets for use outside of our clients and staff. To participate in any mounted activities during a workshop, clients must bring their own helmet. Closed toe shoes with a heel are also required for mounted activities.
-In the barn and arena areas, items that are available for use and are disinfected frequently are identified with the color orange. Leads and other equipment will be returned to the Sanitation Station for disinfection following each use.
-Smoking is not permitted at any time at our facility.
