Giving & Getting Involved

We need volunteers in all areas of operation at NCTRC. Volunteers
are the backbone of our program and without them our riders simply could not ride! We appreciate and welcome any combination
of time and talent to NCTRC including assisting with lessons, fundraising, tech support, artistic talent, and Board participation.
Board of Directors participation. If you are interested and have skills
and experience that would benefit our program in areas of fundraising, public relations, program management, parental input,
then we'd love to talk with you about becoming a member of our board.
Lesson Volunteers
For those who are interested in helping with riding classes, we offer New Volunteer Orientations before the start
of each 6-8 week session. Lesson Volunteers work directly with our riders and horses in class. Responsibilities include helping
in the arena as horse leaders and sidewalkers, horse care, and barn chores. No experience is necessary. Training is provided.
Anyone High School age or older is encouraged to volunteer!
Please contact us if you would like to get started.

“At the end of a long work day I always find myself re-energized
by my trip to the barn to be with the students and horses. Volunteering with NCTRC truly helps give me perspective on
what matters most in life.”

I love horses, had horseback riding lessons as a child, and
have started riding again recently. So it's especially rewarding to be able to help others enjoy the fun, challenge and freedom
that are part of the equestrian experience, but I have to admit, some of my reasons for volunteering are selfish. The horses,
smiles and warm Carolina sunshine are all medicine for the soul.
