About North Carolina Therapeutic Riding Center

The North Carolina Therapeutic Riding Center (NCTRC) was founded in 1977, and is one of the oldest therapeutic riding programs in North Carolina. For over 30 years, NCTRC has continued to bring the fun and excitement of horseback riding, with its many physical, cognitive, and psychological benefits, to children, teens and adults with a variety of special challenges.  These challenges include, but are not limited to autism, ADHD, sensory integration disorder, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injuries, learning disabilities, post traumatic stress disorder and cancer. The staff and many dedicated volunteers work diligently toward the common goal of helping others through horseback riding and other horse-related activities.

NCTRC is a program that makes a difference!
